Jennifer Henderson Crane

Jennifer gained an MSc in History at the University of Edinburgh in 2014; her dissertation examined the pregnancies and childbirths of Queen Victoria in contrast to those experienced by aristocratic women between 1840 and 1857. Additionally, she gained a postgraduate diploma in Museum and Gallery Studies at the University of St Andrews in 2012. Between 2012 and 2014, she served as a frequent author for the Defining Documents multi-volume series produced by EBSCO and the Salem Press. This series gives an introduction to historical research through analysing primary source documents. While the series focuses on pivotal moments in American history, Jennifers particular area of research is on Queen Victoria and her family, as well as Victorian women and children in general.
